No-Show Policy
Three unexpected no-shows with less than 8 hours notice within an eighteen (18) month period will result in the patient
being asked to find care with another physician. Because Lehighton Family Medicine provides generous time for
appointment slots, no-shows have a significant impact on the financial aspect of the practice. If you fail to keep your
appointment, you are taking an appointment spot that could have been used by someone else.
Confirmed appointments that fail to show without contacting us within 8 hours of their appointment time will be assessed
$15 at their next appointment. Please understand, after three no-shows, the patient will be discharged from the practice.
In-patient hospital coverage
Although Dr Sharp maintains admitting privileges at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, in-patient care is coordinated
between Dr Sharp and other specific in-patient hospital staff physicians.
